June was GAY Pride month. Here are my latest paintings of my queer brothers and sisters.
Mike Cepress & Jeremy Baird
"Fellow clothes horses, we met at a fashion show, flirted over racks of vintage, and fell in love two-stepping to a country band
play at Seattle's Little Red Hen. "
Mike is a local men's fashion designer.
Jeremy is an actor and dancer.
Holly Senn & Amy Ryken
Amy and Holly have been partners for 25 years; they met at Mills College in 1981. Their mutual loves are art, cooking, walking, and travel. Amy is a professor who works with students interested in becoming teachers. Holly is a librarian and installation artist who explores the life cycle of ideas.
Audrey Haberman & Marge McGinty
Marge McGinty grew up in Michigan and North Carolina before moving to Seattle in 1987 to pursue a career as a criminal defense lawyer. Audrey Haberman has been Executive Director of the Pride Foundation, an organization that has given almost 10 million dollars in grants and scholarships. Marge and Audrey have been together for 18 years and they have 3 young children and 2 old dogs. This is their first experience sitting for a portrait and they loved it!
Adam Rosencrantz & Ryan Manuel
"Ryan and I have a variety of things that interest us. Together we enjoy working on our home and maintaining our yard and garden. We also enjoy entertaining and attending dinners with friends as well as playing board and card games. Road trips, travel and dining out also provide enjoyment. And when the end of the year rolls around, we become the Griswolds."
Ryan is a Vocational Rehab Counselor.
Adam is a Multimedia Developer.
